Towards the end of the movie there is a spectacular battle where Torg returns to her home planet and is confronted by an armada of royal ships – ending in a spectacular space battle.
This is the original royal model that was built by Richard Dixon last year. A beautiful, classic model with a very nice metallic finish (and photographed in my back garden!)
Recently, we had the model digitally scanned and built by Damian Berek, who added more detail and prepared the model so that we could fly it with Unreal Engine. You can see from the images above, the various stages of remodeling the ship went through.
Damian also provided us with some different colour versions, so that we could create our own armada of Royal Ships – all from the fabulous single model originally built by Richard.
Each version of the ship has been built to a very high quality so that we can have very close up shots without losing any quality or detail. Damian also added lights and reflective surfaces to it – and I’m sure you’ll agree, it looks pretty amazing. The next job is to start creating actual shots for the movie - which I seriously can't wait to do!
Having this ship finally ready means we can keep moving forward with the special effects. It's a long, arduous process, but it is slowly coming together. We still have many more mountains to climb and a lot of these are dictated by how much more money we can raise.
If you would like to be part of our epic journey and help in some way, you can start by buying one our souvenir mugs (click on the picture below) or by buying anything from our SHOP. All the profit we makes goes directly into funding the film. We'll also put you on the mailing list so you can keep up with where we are with these movies and how you can come and be an extra when we need people to be in the film.
Many thanks for all the encouragement and support.
Cheers and all the best.
