Of Infinite Worlds: I May Have Bitten Off More Than I can Chew...

Do you ever get the feeling you may have bitten off more than you can chew...?

I'm currently living through one of those, 'How on earth am I going to finish this', moments – so, what better time to update you on the progress of my new movie! 😃Back in 2020, I set out to make a bigger and better sci-fi movie than my last one, Invasion Planet Earth. And bigger and better it certainly is…

But boy on boy, what a monster I have unleashed!

Ultimately, it's money. It's always money, but hey, I've got this far!

In brief, the film is now all shot and we have a first cut of the picture – it’s looking good. However, bigger and better sounds impressive, rolling off the tongue nicely but, there are so many special effects in this beast and for over a year now, I have been working tirelessly on them. My choice I know but blimey O’Riley, it’s a slog! I’m not complaining. I’ve wanted to make movies all my life, and secretly, I’m loving it. Why would you do anything else when you simply love it?

It’s an amazing thing to see your vision coming to life in front of your eyes. Since 2020, it was just words on a page. Now, we (almost) have a full movie. It blows my mind and fills me up with an indescribable joy. Spaceships, alien creatures, attacking robots, flying cars through alien cities – things I’ve wanted to create since I was 14 and watching Star Wars for the first time. Every sequence in the movie represents its own anecdote in my mind, its own individual adventurous hurdle.

Now, as a fresh faced and youthful 60-year-old, with a life-time of dreaming of making sci-fi movies behind me, it feels amazing to be able to continually inch forward carving my dream.

My message here is clear: Stick with it. That passion you feel to do something amazing won’t leave you as you get older. It develops, so ignore it at your peril. It’s never easy, but I believe we have no alternative. You must FIND A WAY to start as soon as you can. And whatever life throws at you, NEVER give up.

With all that in mind, I’m raising money again. This time, I just need enough to help with the office rent etc, so I can keep pushing on with the films FXs. I sell, Of Infinite Worlds, merch and copies of my previous films in my SHOP and every sale we make really does help to keep the wheels rolling. Thank you so much if you have already supported me.

Below is an images from our big city destruction scene that happens at the start of the movie - and it gets worse from here on.

The image below, has been proving a nightmare since I conceived it - but I've finally got it to work. Our lovely actress Lorena West, performed the scene as a robot and I mentioned to her that in this scene she probably wouldn't have a face - amazingly and after many failed attempts, we finally got the FX to work.

It does look a little freaky, especially from the side view, but its a very effective scene in the movie.

After much effort, the hospital scene is working and looking more like the futuristic hospital I had envisioned - a huge relief. It was originally shot on a small set made up of a few flats and some greenscreen and didn’t look that epic. Thankfully, our actors, Flora Dawson and Marc Baylis, are brilliant in the scene, bringing real magic to the moment.

I'm so excited about the film – it’s aging me rapidly, but I know it will be worth it - and I know it will capture the imagination.

Must... keep... going....

Please do help if you can. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
